Support for MRI and CT scan images is coming to Slice in 2017 thanks to a grant from the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) at the University of Queensland.

Slice has hosted radiology images since its inception; however, they were restricted to X-rays and single frames of z-stack images. The new functionality will be designed to make it easy for students to interpret and interact with MRI and CT scans.

Estimated for release around mid-2017, along with being able to search for and scroll through z-stack images, Slice will include the ability to annotate. Further updates soon!
