AFR Higher Ed Awards Recap

November 13, 2015

The BEST Network was recently honoured to be recognised at the inaugural Australian Financial Review Higher Education Awards. BEST was highly commended in the learning experience category. We’d like to congratulate the University of Southern Queensland who won the award for their great work in improving the higher education learning experience for incarcerated students.

It was a great opportunity for the network to look back at all we’ve achieved since launching over two years ago.

We’ve grown from:

  • 109 members to 1, 621 academics and over 3,900 student members.
  • 4 member institutions to 10.
  • From an image bank with 3,251 images to 18,600+, with our courseware catalogue expanding to 150+ pieces of content.

More than anything, we’d like to thank all of the people who have been involved with BEST and have made it what it is today. Navigating the journey from a grant-funded project to a sustainable network is definitely an achievement and we have certainly built something we can all be proud of.
